YEAR STARTS WITH A BANG FOR NETWORK AUCTIONS

YEAR STARTS WITH A BANG FOR NETWORK AUCTIONS

The first auction of 2010 held by Network Auctions saw a packed auction room at Hatfield House where a 71% success rate was achieved and £ 3.6 million of property sold.

“The range and spread of properties was obviously the key to this success and is testament to the increased activity of our fast-growing member network,” said Toby Limbrick of Network Auctions.

“There was a very positive mood in the room from private buyers, landlord investors and developers who were keen to snap up opportunities in the lots offered. This definitely augurs well for our future sales!”

30 varied lots were on offer covering probate sales of houses, a number of commercial investments, land with planning consent (almost like gold dust in today’s market), bungalows and houses requiring  complete refurbishment, a public house, a lock-up garage and even a half-built house!

Fed by their members, properties were from many parts of the country including Anglesey, Avon, Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, London, Oxfordshire, Somerset and Worcestershire.

Major successes included 5 lots from Tudor Estates in Southend – all sold at an impressive total of 28.5 % (£ 165,000) above guide price.
“Four of these were a probate sale with the proceeds being distributed amongst 4 charities and 4 individuals, so the impressive combined sum realised was great news to all as it was well above their expectations,” said Malcolm Tuff of Tudor/Network Auctions.

“Our recommendation to take the auction route has obviously been vindicated and is a ringing endorsement of being able to offer this sales route as a real and proven option for our clients.”

The undoubted success of Network Auctions is due to the fact that members are established estate agents, auctioneers and property specialists that offer clients that essential local knowledge, expertise and track-record and combine it with Network Auctions national visibility and presence.

“Our members advise clients on which properties are likely to do well at auction, especially in today’s challenging property market,” said Toby Limbrick.” They offer vendors a fast and certain sale in what continues to be a volatile market, with the availability of finance and interest rate uncertainty a constant concern.”

Network Auctions sales are held at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire and start at 1.00p.m. Future dates for 2010 are: May 19th, July 7th, September 15th, November 3rd and December 8th.
